The Oldest  Child

If I had a choice, I would choose to be the oldest child. One reason is I like to be a helper to the youngest child.  Almost like the elder and have. I have nice attributes.

If I could change my birth I’d be the oldest child because I can help the youngest child. One reason is that I can help the children with homework and other thing.  This would prove to be good because whenever they need help they would come to me because I am the oldest child. In the family order I am the youngest child. I do not agree with the description of me because I am not rebellious. Another reason why  I don't agree with the descriptions is my sister is not responsible.

If I can change my birth I choose to be the oldest.  One reason I have nice attributes  for been an oldest child.  One example is an article psychologist say that according to surveys the oldest child can be very determined to work towards greatness always.  Another thing they said that  they would very neat and organized. Also the person that got the most attention is my sister.  My older sister affects me positively by helping me with homework.

If I can change my birth I’d be the oldest  child.  I am a little unhappy with my birth order and to deal with difficult sibling I ignore them.  One reason I’d be the oldest child is that ill be the first one to get all the attention. In the “Huffington Post” they talk about how the first born gets all the attention first because it is born first, it is also briefly stated in the “The birth order connection” . The not-so-good things about my birth order is that I can sometimes be treated like a baby. Traits that describe my best is I’m competitive and outgoing, traits that describe my siblings the best is competitive and confident.

    

In conclusion if I had a choice I’d be the oldest child. One reason is I’d have nice attributes like organized and responsible. I'd be an elder to the young ones Also I’d be the first one to get all the attention.

If I could choose my birth order I would choose to be oldest child. In my family I am the youngest child but if I had a choice I would choose to be first born.I have read articles telling me the traits of first-born, middle child,only child, and youngest Child.But all in all I would be first born. One reason I would be first born is because older children are more trusted by parents and are responsible. Another reason Why I would choose to be oldest child is because oldest children tend to have a higher IQ. Lastly I would choose this because older children have a lot of positive traits.This is Why I would choose to be oldest Child.

     One reason I would choose to be oldest child is because oldest or first born are oldest and more responsible.I am unhappy with my birth order. I don't like it because in my family my sister gets the most attention and She is first born and also She is in charge of me.For instance,since my sister is older She is more responsible and She gets to do things I can't do. Another example is,parents tend to trust oldest children than the youngest. Some some positive and negative traits my sister has on me is She is really bossy towards me and is in charge of everything but She can be nice and sweet.This is one reason I would want to be first born.

   Another reason I would choose to be first born is because first born tend to have a higher IQ.Firstly in the article "the birth order connection " it states "the majority of politicians spouses persons and managing directors are first borns ".Some not so good things about my birth order are in the article and it states "to some extent there self-centered".I do not agree with this because i did not grow up self centered there many other.things I don't agree about. Another example is According to "Huffington Post article" in the first born traits it said "high IQ ".This is another reason Why I would choose to be first born.

       The last reason I would choose to be first born is because first borns have a lot of positive traits.Firstly, according to  "Huffington Post article  " it  states "great leaders".This is a positive trait because it means they make great leaders.But honestly I know my sister and She does not make a great leader.But it can be true for some people. This is the last reason.

      In conclusion, if I could choose  my birth order I would choose to be first born.one reason I would choose to be first born is because older children are more trusted and responsible. Another reason is because older children have a higher IQ. Last reason is because older children have more positive traits. This is Why I would choose to be oldest child.

Kelly L., Class 631 - Birth Order in the Family Hierarchy

You can tell many things about someone's traits based on their place in the hierarchy. The hierarchy is the order of children( first born, middle, last born and only child). my place in the hierarchy is the last born, or youngest child. As the youngest child, I do not agree with my description. If I had a choice of being the oldest, middle, youngest or only child, I would like to be the oldest child. I would like to be the oldest child because I will be organized, I will work toward greatness, and I will be very intelligent.

         One reason why I would like to be the oldest child is that I would be very organized. For instance, in the article " The Birth Order Connection" it states," ...tend to be punctual, organized, and competent." This shows that first borns are usually very organized. When you are organized, you can find many documents without loosing them. Those documents can be very important.

          Another reason why I would like to be the oldest child is that i would work toward greatness. When you work toward greatness, you work for a better future. For example, in the article " The Birth Order Connection", it states, " They are natural leaders and often high achievers." This shows that first borns often work toward greatness. Also, it states, " The majority of politicians, spokesperson and managing directors are first borns". This also shows that first borns work towards greatness. In my opinion, this trait describes my brother(first born) the best.

         Lastly, a reason why I would like to be the oldest child is that I will be very intelligent. For instance, in the article, " The Birth Order Connection", it states, "... they pay attention to details...". this shows that first borns are usually very intelligent. They pay close attention to details before making a choice. The choice might affect their future. This also applies to the trait of being a person who works towards greatness. There are many different situations where you need to pay close attention to the details.

         In summary, if I had the choice of being the youngest, middle, oldest or only child, I would be the oldest child. I would like to be the oldest child because I will be organized, I will work toward greatness, and I will be very intelligent. In my family, the oldest child gets more attention. My brother ( first born) teaches me many things and help me understand something I don't. Some of my "not-so-good" traits as a last born are that I get bored easily, I have a low attention span and I am rebellious.

If I had a choice of being the oldest, middle, youngest or only child I would be the oldest. Even  though I'm already the oldest, the firstborn has many benefits. The firstborn also has a great personality. Most of the oldest kids in the family do well in life. I wouldn't change my birth order being the oldest is great.

In my family I'm the oldest child and from experience the oldest child has many advantages. The oldest child has attention of parents so your side will be heard. Adults would see you as a responsible person and trustworthy. As being the oldest you have mostly the first at everything. Being the firstborn in the family is great  .

The oldest child has a great personality as studies show. An article called Birth Order Connection says how the first born is usually a natural leader, high achiever, in control, picky people and organized. My traits are smart, picky, organized, sensitive and more. I can compare my traits to the traits firstborns usually have. I do agree with these traits Birth Order Connection states.

According to the Birth Order Connection article most politicians, spokespersons and managing directors are firstborns. This shows how most firstborns are successful. Another article called Huffington Post says how firstborns have a higher IQ in their family. It also stated how firstborns are intelligent. The article states that the oldest child works toward greatness. These are reasons on how a firstborn usually leads to a good life.

To conclude, though there are negative traits with being the oldest such as being a know it all, lack sensitivity and be bossy being the oldest is great. In my family I'm the oldest but I wouldn't change my birth order if I could. Being the firstborn has many benefits. I am happy with being the oldest child in my family.

Marrya A., Class 632 - Birth Order in the Family Hierarchy

If my birth order was up to me,I wouldn't be who I am.Would you rather be the only child,middle child,oldest child or the youngest child? I believe being the only child is ideal.In my family’s hierarchy ,I am the middle child.I read some articles and I disagreed about the description about my order in the family because I don’t blame myself when others fail.And also some of the descriptions about my siblings are incorrect because my older sister loves suprises and my youngest siblings don't get bored easily.My life will be completely different if I was the only child.I wouldn’t have a boss in back of me and a show off in front of me.

If I was the only child, my life would be completely different.I now have to share everything.Everything I have would be my own.Even my food has now to be shared with the show offs.According to my survey most of the people that chose being the only child was because of the sharing problem.My older sister tells me before I was born, she always wanted someone to share with but not anymore.What a moody sister.

If I was the only child, there wouldn’t be a boss in back of me.My big sister is Ahlam she is too bossy,a bit sassy and have to know everything.Oldest siblings always have to be the boss and leaders of everything.If I was the only child , there wouldn’t be a boss in my life.According to the text I will be really comfortable with responsibilities and task orientated.My older sister will always do something to make me get in to trouble.My other sister thats after me Anwar is also a middle child she is very clam and she actually blames herself when others fail.

If I was the only child, there wouldn’t be a show off in front of me or there wouldn’t be a baby behind me.I would be the only baby in the family.Now I don’t get the most attention but the show off does, because in my family my parents 4 girls then 1 boy. Mohamed took all the love. According to the text youngest children are so competitive and I strongly agree because my parents are always making him feel that he won even if he lost.Mohamed is my youngest sibling he is so competitive and makes friends easily.Yasmin my sister is really jealous of Mohammed because she used to be the baby of the family and then suddenly she’s not.Why is their a show off in front of me?Why can’t I be all alone?

In conclusion I am not happy with my birth order.My birth order is not so good because you get less driven then first born.I want to be an only child.My life will be different , which I mean no sharing.There wouldn’t be a boss in the back of me and a little show off in front me.I remember when my big sister travel to America for a month and I was the only child.Can u believe it I became an only child.Life was AMAZING! I was the baby of the family!
